This much admired family home is set in the heart of golfing country, close to blue flag beaches and with commanding panoramic views over the Firth of Forth. Northfield, in the East Neuk of Fife is ideally located for golfing, walking, bike/horse riding, sightseeing or just a leisurely holiday. The house, built in 1905, has been in the same family since 1911 and has been extensively renovated to a high standard. Charleton Golf course is adjacent to the house and there are established equestrian centres within walking distance.

"The Wing" This part of Northfield was added in 1911 and was originally the new dining room, celler and Nursery. It has now been converted to a living room, kitchen/dining room, hallway, bathroom, twin bedroom, double bedroom and optional additional twin bedrrom with en-suite. A garden or sun room is also due to be constructed.
"The Cottage" Originally the staff quarters. Downstairs, this section now has a kitchen, living/dining room, wetroom, single bedroom; upstairs there is a double bedroom, twin bedroom and WC. The downstairs single bedroom and wetroom make it ideal if a party member is less able bodied.
The house sits in two acres of garden with wooded walk and commands excellent views across the Firth of Forth from Dunbar to Edinburgh.
The village of Colinsburgh, founded by Colin the 3rd Earl of Crawford for his disbanded troops in 1682, is a quarter of a mile away and has a well stocked shop with post office, a petrol station and a pub with food.
The villages of Elie, Kilconquhar, St Monans, Pittenweem and Anstruther are all close by, as are several blue flag beaches. |
